Braids & Beyond Camp

The Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation, in partnership with The Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp and Braids4Grades, is bringing an empowering hair braiding program to Metropolitan NTM Baptist Church.

Designed for girls ages 9–13
* Schedule: Choose one 3-day session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM).
* Requirement: Campers must be registered for the main Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp during their selected week.
* Space is limited to 15 campers per group!

Ready, Set, Apply

August 10–14 2026
The Warren & Denyse Mackey Foundation presents Ready, Set, Apply!: The 2026 Application Boot Camp. Led by Dr. Lisa Carr, this intensive 5-day program helps rising high school seniors master the college admissions process, from essay writing to strategic planning. The camp runs August 10–14 at Russell Sage College. Space is limited—register online today.

Killings’ Skills & Drills Camp

Register your child to attend the Dwayne Killings Summer Basketball Camp. The Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation is sponsoring a limited number of slots for campers to attend this fantastic camp at SUNY Albany’s Broadview Center. The Camp runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Ready. Set. Goal!

This program offers students in grades 3–8 a unique opportunity to connect with caring adult mentors who support academic achievement, confidence-building, and life skills.

This free program meets weekly at neighborhood locations across Albany. Students enjoy one-on-one mentorship, fun enrichment activities, and the chance to build positive, lasting relationships.

Roam & Learn Camp

The Warren & Denyse Mackey Foundation is proud to sponsor a special week at Metropolitan Community Group Youth Summer Camp, taking place July 21–25. Campers ages 4–13 will enjoy a week of fun-filled programming, including exciting trips to the Utica Zoo and the Basketball Hall of Fame. Weekly tuition is $125, and only 30 spots

Reboot Tech Camp

Reboot Youth Workshop, presented by The Connect Center for Youth, is a free, hands-on summer program designed for students entering grades 6–12. The workshop will be held at 49 Johnston Ave, Cohoes, NY 12407, during two sessions: Week 6 (August 4–8) and Week 7 (August 18–22), from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Reboot introduces youth to the exciting world of technology through engaging lessons in computer hardware, software, and beginner-friendly coding using platforms like Scratch. Students will also explore game development by designing characters, building levels, and telling interactive stories through code. Participants will gain valuable skills in creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving—all in a fun, supportive environment. At the end of the program, each student will receive their own personal computer to take home, helping to bridge the digital divide and continue learning beyond the workshop.
