This free program meets weekly at neighborhood locations across Albany. Students enjoy one-on-one mentorship, fun enrichment activities, and the chance to build positive, lasting relationships.

Braids & Beyond Camp

Reboot Tech Camp

Reboot Youth Workshop, presented by The Connect Center for Youth, is a free, hands-on summer program designed for students entering grades 6–12. The workshop will be held at 49 Johnston Ave, Cohoes, NY 12407, during two sessions: Week 6 (August 4–8) and Week 7 (August 18–22), from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Reboot introduces youth to the exciting world of technology through engaging lessons in computer hardware, software, and beginner-friendly coding using platforms like Scratch. Students will also explore game development by designing characters, building levels, and telling interactive stories through code. Participants will gain valuable skills in creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving—all in a fun, supportive environment. At the end of the program, each student will receive their own personal computer to take home, helping to bridge the digital divide and continue learning beyond the workshop.

Reboot Youth Workshop is a free summer tech program for students entering grades 6–12, proudly sponsored by The Mackey Foundation and hosted by The Connect Center for Youth. Held at 49 Johnston Ave in Cohoes, the workshop runs August 4–8 and August 18–22 from 12–3 PM, with limited spots each week. Students will learn beginner coding with Scratch, design games, build characters, and take home their own computer.
